The Borough of Stonington was chartered in 1801 by a special act of the legislature of the State of Connecticut. It is the oldest Borough in Connecticut.
The borough is a walkable village which includes 18th and 19th century buildings in both residential and commercial areas. Many Antique stores and boutiques call the Borough home.
This is also the Home port of Connecticut’s only commercial fishing fleet.
Stores and restaurants are Open year round. Historic site. Walking/hiking. Shopping. Dining.
