Regional Economic Development Strategy

In 2004, the Southeastern Connecticut Region, which includes the 21 municipalities within New London County, prepared a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the region.   This project was a joint effort of the Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region (seCTer) and the Southeastern CT Council of Governments, with funding for a wide range of partners including the Department of Commerce EDA.

The CEDS included a number of regional and municipal development projects which were ranked in order of priority for attention and funding.  Many of the goals of the 2004 CEDS have been completed, as have some of the projects.

The links below are to  reports from the 2004 CEDS with updates done in 2006.  A new CEDS project is underway in 2011.
