The SECT Childcare Collective, an initiative of United Way Southeastern Connecticut, has launched a Family Child Care Capacity Pilot project in an effort to help increase access to high-quality childcare in New London County.
This pilot, funded by General Dynamics/Electric Boat, supports both existing and prospective family childcare providers by helping them start, grow, and sustain thriving home-based childcare businesses. Participants will receive technology support and equipment, new business funds, and business development resources.
By helping expand childcare options, this effort supports working families, strengthens the local workforce, and helps more parents remain in or return to work.
