SeCTer’s small business lending program helps small to medium-sized businesses expand, upgrade machinery and equipment, and/or relocate in our region. SeCTer’s lending region includes all of eastern Connecticut, from the Massachusetts border to Long Island Sound. This program helps businesses grow, including businesses that are part of our thriving arts and cultural ecosystem. SeCTer provides loans to businesses that are not quite bank ready, providing them the capital to grow and succeed. We also function as a niche lender with the ability to fill funding gaps, and pride ourselves in helping our region by making deals happen. As each loan pays off, the funds are reinvested in new businesses. We ensure that our clients get the support they need to thrive, including assistance from our Small Business Development Center counselor, and referrals to community partners and additional lenders. What is best for the client is best for the community!
SeCTer has a new CARES Act Revolving Loan Fund focused on pandemic recovery. This $1.76 million fund is available to all business types to expand or pivot operations as they recover from the pandemic’s economic injury.
